What is Zeller Menopause and when is it used?

Zeller Menopause contains a dry extract of Cimicifuga rootstock ( Cimicifuga racemosa (L.) Nutt., rhizoma).

Zeller Menopause is used for menopausal symptoms (hot flashes, sweating, sleep disorders, nervousness and mood disorders). These can be alleviated by Zeller Menopause.

What precautions should be taken?

In the event of an unusual drop in performance, yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine or discolored stools, Zeller Menopause should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

You should consult your doctor if you have a feeling of tension or swelling in the breasts or if you experience bleeding between periods, spotting or if you have recurring menstrual periods.

This medicinal product contains 44 mg digestible carbohydrates per tablet. The drug is suitable for diabetics.

When should Zeller Menopause not be taken / used or only with caution?

Zeller Menopause should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients or to ranunculaceae (buttercup family). In the case of pre-existing liver damage, taking Zeller Menopause is not recommended. This preparation influences the physical and psychological symptoms of menopause (climacteric). Since there are no clinical data that show a beneficial effect on bones, this preparation cannot be used to prevent osteoporosis.

Zeller Menopause contains lactose. Please only take Zeller Menopause after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from sugar intolerance.

This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per tablet, ie essentially 'sodium-free'.

Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you:

  • suffer from other diseases
  • have allergies or
  • take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!)!

Can Zeller Menopause be taken/used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Zeller Menopause is indicated for women going through the menopause. Use during pregnancy and lactation is not intended. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Zeller Menopause?

Adults: Unless otherwise prescribed, take 1 tablet whole once a day with some liquid. Zeller Menopause can be used for a longer period of time, at least over a period of 6 weeks. Use for more than 6 months should only take place after consultation with your doctor.

The use and safety of Zeller Menopause in children and adolescents has not yet been tested.

Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Zeller Menopause have?

The following side effects can occur when taking Zeller Menopause:

  • in rare cases, stomach upset, nausea, heartburn and diarrhea.
  • in individual cases breast tenderness or swelling, spotting and bleeding between periods or the recurrence of menstrual bleeding.
  • skin reactions such as itching, rash and hives; Fluid retention on the face and rest of the body, frequency unknown.
  • in individual cases there are indications of liver damage (inflammation of the liver, jaundice, disruption of liver function tests) when using medicinal products containing black cohosh. In the event of an unusual drop in performance, yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine or discolored stools, Zeller Menopause should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

If you notice side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked “EXP” on the container.
