What is Tesalin N and when is it used? Tesalin N is a herbal medicine used to treat the symptoms of hay fever (allergic rhinitis) and the associated discomfort in the eyes, nose and throat. The use of Tesalin N leads to a noticeable improvement in general well-being.Tesalin N is standardized to 8 mg Petasine per film-coated tablet. The contained extract (Ze 339) is obtained from the leaves of the butterbur (Petasites hybridus L.).What should be considered?This medicinal product contains less than 0.2 mg of usable carbohydrates per single dose (1 film-coated tablet).When should Tesalin N not be taken or only with caution?Tesalin N should not be taken if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the Ingredients.Tesalin N must not be taken by children under the age of 12.Very rare but sometimes serious liver damage has been reported in connection with preparations that have a CO2 extract from the roots of butterbur was observed.
