What is Nasivin pure and when is it used?Nasivin pure is a cold remedy that combats the symptoms of a cold. The active ingredient in Nasivin pure, oxymetazoline, has a vasoconstricting effect. This causes the mucous membrane to swell and makes breathing easier when you have a cold. The effect begins within a minute and lasts up to 12 hours.On the recommendation of a doctor or pharmacist, Nasivin pure can be used as a mucosal decongestant for sinusitis and tubal catarrh.Nasivin pur dosing dropper 0.01% is used for infants and Nasivin pur dosing spray 0.025% is used for small children from one year of age.When should Nasivin pure not be used?Nasivin pure must not be used if you have dry nasal mucosa with crusts and bark formation (rhinitis sicca), hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients and glaucoma (narrow-angle glaucoma).When should you be careful when using Nasivin pure?Nasivin pur dosing spray 0.05% may only be used on adults and school children aged 6 and over. Nasivin pur dosing spray 0.025% may only be used on small children aged 1 year and over.Nasivin pure must not be used for longer than 5-7 days without a doctor's instructions.
