What is FORTALIS and when is it used?

FORTALIS is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory balm.

It is used for rubbing and massage in the treatment of muscle and joint pain and after injuries. FORTALIS can also be used as a massage balm to relax tired and tense muscles.

Per il bambino con più di 12 anni, applicare Fortalis solo su una superficie limitata e per poco tempo.

Evitare il contatto con gli occhi, le mucose e le ferite aperte. In case of ridotta functionalità renale è necessario evitare un impiego prolungato su estese superfici.

FORTALIS contains olio di arachidi. It is allergic to all arachidi or alla soia, non usi questo medicamento. FORTALIS contiene lanoline. La lanolina può causare reazioni cutanee locali (ad es. dermatite da contatto).

When should FORTALIS not be used?

FORTALIS should not be used in children under the age of 12.

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the components.

Do not use if you are allergic to peanut or soy.

When should you be careful when using FORTALIS?

Contact with eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds should be avoided.

In the event of a kidney function disorder, do not carry out longer, large-area treatments.

FORTALIS contains peanut oil. It must not be used if you are allergic to peanut or soy. FORTALIS contains lanolin. Lanolin can cause limited skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist or your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

• suffer from other diseases,
• have allergies or
• other medicines (including those you have bought!) or use them externally!

Fortalis may be used during pregnancy or in the breastfeeding?

Fortalis should not be used without medical advice in women of childbearing age who are not using contraception, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How do you use FORTALIS?

Adults and adolescents from the age of 12

Muscle and joint pain and injuries: apply an amount adapted to the area to be treated, 2 - 3 times a day for 5 -7 days. If skin irritation occurs, stop use altogether.

Tired, tense and aching muscles: perform a prolonged massage.

Respect the dosage indicated in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can FORTALIS have?

Rarely (affects 1 to 10 in 10,000 users)

Redness and slight skin irritation.

Individual cases

Burns at the site of administration.

If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

What else needs to be taken into account?

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.

Storage instructions

At room temperature (15-2 5°C).

Do not freeze.

Store in the original packaging.

Keep the container in the outer carton in order to protect from light (and/or moisture).

What does FORTALIS contain?

Active ingredients

100 mg balm contains 10 mg methyl salicylate, 2 mg salicylic acid, 0.3 mg formic acid 98%,

0.4 mg racemic camphor and 1 mg spica oil.

Excipients

Wool fat (lanolin), liquid paraffin, solid paraffin, yellow vaseline, peanut oil, beta-carotene (E160a).
