When can the Evial pregnancy test be carried out?
The The reliability of urine pregnancy tests is 99%, starting from when menstruation is due. The Evial pregnancy test already measures hCG in the urine from a value of 10mlU/ml. Therefore, the Evial pregnancy test is considered an early pregnancy test and can be carried out as early as 4 days before the expected menstrual period. Measurements taken in an early stage of pregnancy, i.e. before the expected menstrual period, should be considered as a trend and confirmed with another pregnancy test after the menstrual period has stopped. How does a pregnancy test work?
A pregnancy is detected in the early stages by the concentration of hCG (human chorionic gouadotropin) in the urine or blood. During pregnancy, hCG is first produced by the fertilized egg and later by the placenta. HCG prevents, among other things, the shedding of the uterine lining and the onset of menstrual bleeding.

A fertilized egg usually implants itself in the lining of the uterus 6-8 days before your missed period. At this point, tiny amounts of hCG are present in the mother's blood and urine. hCG levels are very low at first, but rise rapidly and predictably in the first few weeks of pregnancy.

The pregnancy test contains antibodies that react to the hormone. If the urine comes into contact with the absorption wick, the urine sample is guided into the membrane with the help of capillaries. When the hCG reaches the test area, a colored line will appear. If this line is missing, the test result is negative. As a check, a colored line appears in the control area, which shows whether the pregnancy test was carried out correctly.

Positive pregnancy test
If you have tested positive early before the expected menstrual period, take another pregnancy test 2 days after the expected menstrual date to confirm the result. This is when the result of a urine test is most reliable. If the result is still positive, consult a doctor to confirm the pregnancy. Your doctor will advise you on how to proceed.

Negative pregnancy test
If you get a negative result, pregnancy is not ruled out. The hCG level in the urine may still have been too low, or the pregnancy test may have been taken too early or incorrectly. A high number of bacteria in the urine or the egg cell that has not yet implanted could be other reasons for a false negative result. If you suspect that you are pregnant despite a negative pregnancy test (e.g. missed menstruation), repeat the test after a few days.

Using the Evial Pregnancy Test Midstream
Tear open the sealed packaging to test. Remove the test from the package.
Hold the round end in one hand. With the other hand, remove the protective cap and expose the absorbent tip
Hold the absorbent tip down. Hold the absorbent tip in the urine stream or container for at least 6 seconds until sufficiently soaked. Do not urinate on the area above the mark (arrow).
Replace the protective cap on the end and wait for the colored bands to appear. Read the test result after 5 minutes. No more reading after 10 minutes.
