Indications:

The PROFORE® Compression System + 30cm 4-Layer Set is indicated for the management of venous leg ulcers and other oedematous conditions of the lower extremities.

How to apply:

Ensure that the ulcer is cleaned, debrided, and dressed appropriately.
Apply the first layer (Protective Padding Bandage) ensuring that there is an overlap between windings.
Apply the second layer (Light Compression Bandage) ensuring that the bandage has a 50% overlap with the previous layer.
Apply the third layer (Graduated Compression Bandage) ensuring that the bandage has a 50% overlap with the previous layer and the compression is appropriately distributed.
Apply the final layer (Self-Adherent Compression Bandage) ensuring that the bandage is wrapped around the leg securely and there are no gaps or wrinkles.

Note: Always ensure that the pressure is applied accurately to avoid impairing circulation or causing discomfort for the patient.

Precautions:

The PROFORE® Compression System + 30cm 4-Layer Set should only be used as directed by the healthcare professional. The pressure should be monitored regularly to ensure that it is not too high or too low. Patients with arterial insufficiency should not be treated with this system. The System is also contraindicated for patients with heart failure, pulmonary edema, or untreated septic phlebitis. If there is any discomfort, discontinue use and seek medical attention.
