It is also known that vitamin E protects the cells against premature destruction by aggressive pollutants from the metabolism and the environment. Swissmedic-approved patient informationVitamin E-Mepha, capsules Mepha Pharma AG What is Vitamin E-Mepha and when is it used? Vitamin E is involved in the development of the muscles and connective tissue and thus also the blood vessels. It is also known that vitamin E protects the cells against premature destruction by aggressive pollutants from the metabolism and the environment. These pollutants are called free radicals. Vitamin E-Mepha is used to supplement insufficient vitamin E intake and to cover an increased need. Inadequate intake: Vitamin E is mainly found in oily grains and seeds, egg yolk and meat. If these foods are largely avoided, the daily requirement for vitamin E cannot be covered. Increased requirement: If the diet is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (e.g. fish oils), the vitamin E requirement increases. Patients with chronic diseases of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas do not absorb vitamin E from food and therefore also have an increased need. What should be considered? The capsules contain no carbohydrates and are suitable for diabetics. When should Vitamin E-Mepha not be taken? If you are allergic or hypersensitive to the active ingredient or one of the excipients.
