The parent plant, a shrub up to two meters high, used to be native to tropical Asia. Today it is cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions (Jamaica, India, China, West Africa and Japan). Ginger root has traditionally been used as an aromatic to stimulate appetite and to relieve gas because of its spicy flavor. ZINTONA can be used for indigestion and stomach problems. In addition, ZINTONA has a preventive effect in adults with symptoms of sea, flight and travel sickness (kinetosis) such as dizziness, nausea and vomiting. ZINTONA has been shown to be effective against vomiting associated with fever in children 6 years and older.
