Pretuval Sore Throat should not be used if you are hypersensitive to one or more of its ingredients.
Patients who are hypersensitive to acetylsalicylic acid and rheumatism and painkillers (prostaglandin inhibitors) should not use Pretuval Sore Throat use, as a nettle rash (urticaria) or asthma can be triggered.
If you have angina or sore throat with a fever, you should see your doctor. You should also contact your doctor if the pain in your throat gets worse or does not improve after 3 days, fever, severe sore throat or other symptoms after using the medicine. Pretuval Sore Throat should not be used for more than a week, otherwise the normal oral flora may be affected.

This medicinal product contains up to 1200 mg alcohol (ethanol) per dose, equivalent to 10.1 vol% or 80 mg/ml (8.1% w/v). It can cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.

This medicinal product contains 3.4 mg of aspartame per lozenge. Aspartame is a source of phenylalanine. It can be harmful if you have phenylketonuria (PKU), a rare inherited disorder in which phenylalanine builds up because the body can't break it down enough.
This medicine contains isomalt. Please only take Pretuval sore throat, lozenges after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from a sugar intolerance.
This lemon flavored medicine contains a fragrance with citral. This ingredient may cause allergic reactions. It can cause a burning sensation on damaged skin. Butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) can cause local skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.
This medicinal product with a honey-orange flavor contains a fragrance with limonene, citral and citronellol. These ingredients can cause allergic reactions.
Pretuval sore throat does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you think you may have are pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Pretuval Sore Throat should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
For the product to work best, do not eat or drink anything immediately after use.
If the symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days, fever, severe sore throat or other symptoms occur, contact the doctor treating you.
Adults and adolescents from the age of 12: Rinse your mouth or gargle 3 times a day with 10 ml (corresponds to approx. 1 tablespoon) of the undiluted solution for 20 to 30 seconds. You can also apply the solution directly to the desired area using a soaked cotton swab.
Due to the risk of accidental ingestion, Pretuval Sore Throat Solution should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
The spray does not contain any propellant, so the spray pump must be operated a few times before using it for the first time until liquid is sucked in. Then the atomization can take place.

If you accidentally take too many lozenges, you should contact your pharmacist, doctor or druggist or your nearest hospital casualty department immediately. Always take the labeled medicine pack with you, whether or not you have any lozenges left.
In very rare cases, symptoms of overdose such as agitation, convulsions, sweating, ataxia, tremors and vomiting have been reported in children following oral administration of benzydamine doses approximately 100 times higher than benzydamine lozenges.
Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
The following side effects may occur when using Pretuval Sore Throat:
Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 users in 1000): local numbness of the oral mucosa, temporary taste disturbance, skin sensitive to sunlight (causes rash or sunburn)
Rare (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000): Hypersensitivity reactions up to and including anaphylactic reactions (frequency unknown), laryngeal spasms, burning and dry mouth. If this happens to you, sip a glass of water to reduce the effect.
Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10,000 people): itchy skin swelling, sudden swelling of the mouth and throat or mucous membranes (angioedema, the symptoms are difficulty breathing or swallowing (laryngospasm or bronchospasm), skin rash, itching, hives or swelling of the face, hands and feet, eyes, lips and/or tongue, dizziness),
Frequency not known (cannot be estimated from the available data): Allergic reactions (hypersensitivity) to the ingredients of Pretuval Sore throat, hives, signs of a serious allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) may include shortness of breath (difficulty breathing), chest pain, chest tightness, dizziness, weakness, severe itching of the skin, lumps on the skin that you can feel, swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat and can be potentially life-threatening. In this case, the treatment must be discontinued.
In sensitized patients, hypersensitivity reactions (including shortness of breath) can be triggered by peppermint oil.
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

Pretuval Halsschmerzen wird zur Lokalbehandlung von Halsschmerzen, Entzündungen der Mandeln und der Mundhöhle sowie bei Aphthen eingesetzt. ln der Zahnchirurgie kann Pretuval Halsschmerzen auf Empfehlung eines Zahnarztes/einer Zahnärztin, eines Apothekers/einer Apothekerin oder eines Drogisten/einer Drogistin sowohl vor als auch nach dem Eingriff benutzt werden.
Pretuval Halsschmerzen darf nicht angewendet werden, wenn Sie auf einen oder mehrere seiner Bestandteile überempfindlich reagieren.
Die Lösung zur Anwendung in der Mundhöhle ist für Kinder unter 12 Jahren nicht geeignet. Das Spray zur Anwendung in der Mundhöhle soll bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren nicht angewendet werden, da keine ausreichenden Daten zur Wirksamkeit und Sicherheit vorliegen.
Patientinnen und Patienten, die auf Acetylsalicylsäure sowie Rheuma- und Schmerzmittel (Prostaglandinhemmer) überempfindlich reagieren, sollen Pretuval Halsschmerzen nicht anwenden, da ein Nesselausschlag (Urticaria) oder Asthma ausgelöst werden können.Bei einer Angina oder einer Rachenentzündung in Verbindung mit Fieber sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin aufsuchen. Zeigen die Schmerzen nach einigen Behandlungstagen (spätestens nach einer Woche) keine Besserung, sollten Sie ebenfalls Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin konsultieren, um abzuklären, ob eine zusätzliche Behandlung erforderlich ist. Im Allgemeinen sollte Pretuval Halsschmerzen während höchstens einer Woche angewendet werden, da andernfalls die normale Mundflora beeinträchtigt werden kann.

Pretuval Halsschmerzen darf während der Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit nur in Absprache mit dem behandelnden Arzt bzw. der behandelnden Ärztin angewendet werden.
Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren: Spülen Sie den Mund oder gurgeln Sie 3× täglich mit 10 ml (entspricht ca. 1 Esslöffel) der unverdünnten Lösung während 20 bis 30 Sekunden. Sie können die Lösung auch mit Hilfe eines getränkten Wattebauschs direkt an der gewünschten Stelle auftragen.
Aufgrund der Gefahr des versehentlichen Verschluckens wird die Anwendung von Pretuval Halsschmerzen, Lösung zur Anwendung in der Mundhöhle bei Kindern nicht empfohlen.
Der Spray enthält kein Treibmittel, deshalb muss die Sprühpumpe vor der ersten Benutzung einige Male betätigt werden, bis Flüssigkeit angesaugt ist. Dann kann die Zerstäubung erfolgen.
Das Spray mit 4-8 Zerstäubungen in den Mund-Rachenraum sprühen. Die Anwendung kann bis zu 6 Mal pro Tag wiederholt werden.

Damit das Produkt optimal wirken kann, sollten Sie unmittelbar nach der Anwendung nichts essen oder trinken.

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Pretuval Halsschmerzen auftreten:
Gelegentlich kann es zu einer lokalen Gefühlslosigkeit der Mundschleimhaut oder zu vorübergehenden Geschmacksstörungen kommen.
Selten kommt es zu Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen bis hin zu anaphylaktischen Reaktionen, einem Kehlkopfkrampf oder sehr selten zu juckenden Hautschwellungen, gelegentlich tritt Lichtempfindlichkeit auf.
Entwickelt sich eine Allergie auf die Inhaltsstoffe von Pretuval Halsschmerzen, können ein Nesselausschlag oder Asthma auftreten. ln diesem Fall muss die Behandlung abgesetzt werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
