Calcimagon-D3 contains the active ingredients calcium and vitamin D3, which are important for healthy bone formation.
The preparation is suitable for the treatment and prevention of diseases that are based on a vitamin D or calcium deficiency in old age and to support the prevention and therapy of osteoporosis.
Note for diabetics:
1 chewable tablet Calcimagon-D3 with lemon or orange flavor contains 7.97 mg Carbohydrates.
If you are hypersensitive to one or more ingredients according to the composition, if you have an increased calcium level in the blood, increased calcium excretion in the urine, impaired kidney function, kidney or bladder stones, after a long period of immobility or if you have received advice from your doctor are not allowed to take calcium.
In the case of chronic kidney dysfunction and stone formation in the urinary tract.
An additional intake of vitamin D and/or calcium should be carried out under medical supervision to avoid an overdose. Long-term intake of large amounts of calcium or high doses of vitamin D from food or medicines and at the same time easy-to-absorb basic substances (alkalis, e.g. bicarbonates, which are contained in medicines to bind gastric acid) can lead to a milk-alkali syndrome (calcium metabolism disorder) with the risk of kidney damage. Simultaneous intake should be avoided at all costs.
Caution is advised when taking cardiac glycosides and diuretics (thiazides) at the same time, since interactions can occur.
Since the simultaneous intake of corticosteroids leads to increased calcium excretion via the kidneys, the Calcimagon-D3 500/800 dose may have to be increased in consultation with your doctor.
Patients who are being treated simultaneously with antibiotics (tetracyclines) or barbiturates should always keep a time interval of about 3 hours between taking these drugs and Calcimagon-D3 500/800; certain antibiotics (quinolones) should be taken 2 hours before or 4-6 hours after the administration of Calcimagon-D3 500/800.
In the case of simultaneous treatment with a bisphosphonate, cholestyramine, zinc, strontium ranelate and iron preparations, sodium fluoride or paraffin, a time interval of must be maintained for at least 2 hours. The same applies to the simultaneous intake of oxalic or phytic acid-rich food (spinach, rhubarb, whole grains).
If the thyroid hormone levothyroxine is administered at the same time, the time interval should be 4 hours.
In the event of loss of appetite, severe thirst, nausea or vomiting, you should contact your doctor immediately.
The intake of large amounts of calcium with easily absorbed basic substances (e.g . Bicarbonate) should be avoided.
Inform your doctor, pharmacist or pharmacist or your doctor, pharmacist or pharmacist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally!
You should not take Calcimagon-D3 500/800 while you are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless specifically prescribed by your doctor.
Adults take 1 chewable tablet of Calcimagon -D3 500/800 per day. The tablets can also be poured into a glass of water and taken after disintegration.
The calcium dose in Calcimagon-D3 500/800 is below thatrecommended total daily dose. Calcimagon-D3 500/800 is therefore primarily intended for patients with an additional need for vitamin D who are already taking around 500-1000 mg of calcium with their food every day. The existing calcium intake with food should be estimated by the doctor.
Calcimagon-D3 500/800 is not intended for use in children and adolescents under the age of 18.
Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by the doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
Occasionally increased calcium content in the blood and increased excretion in the urine. Milk-alkaline syndrome can develop in the event of an overdose in connection with the intake of alkaline substances (e.g. agents for binding gastric acid) (see under "When should caution be taken when taking it?").
In rare cases, slight disorders in the digestive tract such as constipation, upper abdominal symptoms such as a feeling of fullness, slight flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Itching, skin rash and hives can also occur rarely.
