What is Triofan physiologic and when is it used?

The monodoses of Triofan physiologic contain a physiological, sterile saline solution.

Nasal cleaning:

Triofan physiologic is intended for cleaning the nasal cavities of babies, children and adults:

• For the daily hygiene of a blocked nose, which is mainly caused by occurs in young children who cannot blow out and eliminate nasal secretions and mucus, to prevent upper respiratory tract infections and for better breathing.
• As an additional treatment of ENT (ear, nose and throat) diseases, to promote their relief and to prevent secondary infection by eliminating any suppurating excess mucus/mucus, microbial substances, foreign bodies, allergens, etc.

Cleaning of the eyes:

Triofan physiologic is recommended for babies, children and adults for ophthalmic cleaning:

• of eyelids and corners of the eye for daily hygiene
• of the eye to remove foreign bodies in case of complaints
• of the eye for supplementary treatment of conjunctivitis (conjunctivitis) under medical prescription

Aerosol therapy:

Triofan physio logic is used as a diluent in aerosol therapy according to the recommended dose of medicinal products and medical prescription.

When should Triofan physiologic not be used and when should caution be exercised?

• Check that the single-dose container is intact before use. If the single-dose container is damaged, opened, or punctured, do not use it and should discard it immediately.
• SINGLE-DOSE CONTAINER. DO NOT INJECT.
• Never use the same single-dose container for different people and for different purposes.
• Do not store after opening. Dispose of immediately after use.
• If an opened single-dose container is continued to be used, there is a risk that the product will lose its sterility and will no longer be sterile.
• Only use the product on premature babies and people with severe dry eyes or reduced corneal sensitivity under medical supervision.
• In the case of medical treatment via the nose or eyes, apply Triofan physiologic before treatment and not after, to avoid its cancellation.
• Remove contact lenses before use and wait 10 minutes before putting them back in.
• Do not use if the product is not compatible with the medicine to be nebulized.

How do you use Triofan physiologic?

Pure Cleaning solution for nose:

According to the recommended dose, use 1 single dose of 5 ml:

• 1-3 times a day for daily hygiene.
• 2-6 times a day for 5 to 7 days in acute ENT diseases, such as common cold, rhinopharyngitis.
• 1-3 times a day (up to 3 months) in chronic ENT diseases, such as chronic rhinosinusitis, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis.

Eye cleaning solution:

According to the recommended dose, use 1 single dose of 5 ml:

• 1-2 times a day for daily hygiene.
• 1-2 times a day for a maximum of 5 days in case of conjunctivitis.
• 1 single application in case of Removal of a foreign body.

Instructions for use

Opening the single-dose

1. Grasp the tip and twist it completely off the bottle.
2. Gently press on the single-dose container until the solution comes out.

Nasal useng for Babies

1. Lay the baby on their back with their head tilted to one side. Gently insert the tip of the single-dose container into the nostril. Gently press the single-dose container to release the required dose. Repeat this process with the other nostril.
   
2. Wait a moment for the solution to work and raise the baby's head again. Wipe off excess liquid with a soft tissue. If necessary, you can also remove mucus from babies with a nasal aspirator.
   

Ophthalmic use:

For daily cleaning, use a compress soaked with Triofan physiologic. Drip some of the solution directly to clean in the event of conjunctivitis (conjunctivitis) or in the event of symptoms in the eye and dry it with a sterile compress. Use a different compress for the other eye.

Aerosol therapy use:

The solution can be added to an aerosol device to dilute a medicine to be administered with a nebulizer.

Please follow the doctor's prescription, the directions of the aerosol machine and the directions for use of the medicine to be diluted.

Use the exact amount of saline to add. This saline solution is isotonic and sterile with a pH of 4.7 to 7.

Do not substitute any other solution in a single-dose container (unless specifically stated in the instructions for use of the drug to be nebulized).

What side effects can Triofan physiologic have?

Rarely, irritation and discomfort may occur. For babies, instill the product into the nose with minimal pressure to avoid any risk of contamination of the middle ear.
