When is Drosetux cough syrup used?

According to the homeopathic drug picture, Drosetux cough syrup can be used for acute and chronic bronchitis, tracheitis, dry cough and dry cough that occurs in attacks.

What should be considered?

If your doctor has prescribed other medication, ask your doctor Ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Drosetux cough syrup can be taken at the same time.

Note for diabetics: a single dose for adults (10 ml = 2 teaspoons) contains between 8 and 9 g sucrose (sugar), a dose for children from 5 years of age (5 ml = 1 teaspoon) contains 4 to 4.5 g and a single dose for children from 2 to 5 years contains 2 to 2, 5 g of it.

When should Drosetux, cough syrup not be used or only with caution?

Coughs in children under the age of 2 should be clarified by a doctor. For this reason, the preparation should not be used in children under the age of 2 without a doctor's approval.

Due to its sugar content (8 to 9 g of sugar per 10 ml dose), Drosetux cough syrup is contraindicated in diabetics. Drosetux, cough syrup should not be used if you are hypersensitive to one of the ingredients.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you:

  • suffer from other diseases,
  • have allergies or
  • take or use external medicines (including those you bought yourself).

May Drosetux, cough syrup taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. However, no systematic scientific studies have been carried out.

As a precautionary measure, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Drosetux, cough syrup?

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Drosetux cough syrup is taken orally in the specified doses :

Children from 2 to 5 years: ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml), 3 to 4 times a day, i.e. a maximum of 2 teaspoons a day (10 ml/day).

Children from 5 years: 1 teaspoon (5 ml), 3 to 5 times a day, i.e. a maximum of 5 teaspoons a day (25 ml/day).

Adults: 2 teaspoons (10 ml), 3 to 5 times a day, i.e. a maximum of 10 teaspoons per day (50 ml/day).

The intake must be spread throughout the day and preferably between meals and at bedtime.

Follow the dosage indicated in the package leaflet or prescribed by the doctor.

If the desired improvement does not occur when treating a small child/child, you should consult a doctor with him or her .

If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Drosetux, cough syrup have?

When taking homeopathic medicines, the symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).

What else needs to be considered?

The medicinal product may only be used up to theolder than the date marked «EXP».

After opening the bottle, the syrup must be used within 6 months.

What does Drosetux, cough syrup contain?

Arnica montana 3 CH, Atropa belladonna 3 CH, Cephaelis ipe cacuanha (Ipeca) 3 CH, Cina 3 CH, Corallium rubrum 3 CH, Cupri gluconas 3 CH, Dactylopius coccus 3 CH, Drosera 3 CH, Ferrosi phosphas 3 CH, Solidago virga aurea 1 CH in equal parts.

Saccharum 8-9 g.

This preparation also contains the following excipients:

  • Excipiens ad solutionem per 10 ml.
  • Preservative: citric acid (E330), benzoic acid (E211).
