What is Valverde Gastrointestinal and when is it used?
Valverde Gastrointestinal is a herbal medicine and contains the active ingredient yarrow herb dry extract. Yarrow herb is traditionally said to have antispasmodic properties.
Valverde Gastrointestinal is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild, cramp-like gastrointestinal complaints, as well as for feelings of fullness and flatulence.
The use of this medicine in the above-mentioned indication is based exclusively on traditional use. Valverde Gastrointestinal is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
What should be taken into account?
If symptoms worsen during use of this medicine or persist for more than 2 weeks, you should consult a doctor.
When should Valverde Gastrointestinal not be taken or only taken with caution?
Valverde Gastrointestinal must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of the medicine (see “What does Valverde Gastrointestinal contain?”) or if you are allergic to yarrow and other plants from the daisy family (Asteraceae).
This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per film-coated tablet, that is to say essentially “sodium-free”.
The use of this medicine is not recommended in children under 12 years.
No interactions are known. Studies on interactions with Valverde Gastrointestinal with other medicines or food, drinks and alcohol have not been conducted.

Can Valverde Gastrointestinal be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been proven. Due to insufficient data, taking Valverde Gastrointestinal is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding if possible, or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use Valverde Gastrointestinal?
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 1 to 2 film-coated tablets 3 to 4 times daily.
The film-coated tablets should be taken whole and with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water).
Follow the dosage instructions in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
If symptoms worsen during use of this medicine or persist for more than 2 weeks, you should consult a doctor.
The use and safety of Valverde Gastrointestinal in children under 12 years of age has not yet been evaluated.
No cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.
There are insufficient data for specific dosage recommendations in cases of impaired renal/liver function. In this case, please contact your doctor.
What side effects can Valverde gastrointestinal have?
Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin have been reported. The frequency of occurrence is unknown.

This medicine should only be used until the date stated on the container with “EXP”.
