What are Magnesium-Diasporal 100 lozenges and when are they used?

Magnesium-Diasporal 100 lozenges are characterized by a pleasant taste of orange, their easy-to-use dosage form and therapeutically sensible dosage. A deficiency in magnesium can result in mild to severe disorders.

Humans need 300-400 mg Mg 2+ daily . There is an increased need, for example, during high-performance sport, pregnancy, breastfeeding, alcohol abuse and during growth. The daily requirement can double. Magnesium mainly affects the heart and blood vessels, nerves and muscles.

Magnesium-Diasporal 100 lozenges will be

recommended for:

Calf cramps, muscle twitching, restless legs; low magnesium diet;

used to meet an increased need:

in high-performance sport, during pregnancy and breastfeeding; during growth;

applied on medical prescription:

in the case of magnesium deficiency as a result of insufficient intake (unbalanced diet, alcohol abuse),

with certain cardiac arrhythmias.

When should Magnesium-Diasporal 100 lozenges not be used?

Magnesium-Diasporal 100 lozenges must not be used in the event of severely restricted kidney function or predisposition to certain kidney stone diseases (magnesium ammonium phosphate stones) and large water losses, e.g. after severe vomiting or diarrhea.

When should you be careful when taking Magnesium-Diasporal 100 lozenges?

Patients with impaired kidney function should only take the medicine after consulting their doctor. If the medicine for calf cramps is taken and these last longer than 10 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Magnesium supplements should not be taken at the same time as tetracyclines (antibiotics) or fluorides, as they prevent each other from being absorbed into the blood. A staggered application of 3-4 hours is possible.
