When should neo-angin not be used?In patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or to other local anesthetics (local anesthetics). In patients who are hypersensitive to azo dyes, acetylsalicylic acid and rheumatism and painkillers (prostaglandin inhibitors). When is caution required when taking neo-angin?In the case of bleeding wounds in the mucous membrane, the throat lozenge should be taken with caution - if at all - since the intake of the active substances in the blood may be increased. This applies in particular to patients with cardiovascular disorders or a tendency to cramps. If you have impaired liver and/or kidney function, as these impairments can lead to increased drug concentrations in the blood. neo-angin forte is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Neo-angin and neo-angin Junior are not recommended for children under 6 years of age. If the fever is higher or if there is no improvement within 3 days, a doctor should be consulted. Can neo-angin be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child if used as directed. What side effects can neo-angin have?The following side effects can occur when taking neo-angin: Excessive or prolonged use of neo-angin may cause local irritation. In the case of fresh injuries in the mouth, there is a risk of bleeding. Rarely, there may be a change in taste perception or numbness of the tongue. On very rare occasions, hypersensitivity reactions or sensitizations in the mouth can occur. These effects usually resolve in the short term.
