It is used for the short-term treatment of teething problems in young children during the teething period. It does not burn, relieves acute pain in the gum area, especially when teeth pierce pilgrims. When should Osa Tooth Gel not be used?If you are already known to be hypersensitive to one of the ingredients or if allergy symptoms (skin rashes) occur, you should refrain from using it or stop using it immediately . When is caution required when using Osa tooth gel?Osa tooth gel should only be used in children suspected of having viral flu or chickenpox as directed by the doctor and only as a second choice. If this application leads to disturbances of consciousness and severe vomiting, a doctor should be consulted immediately. This medicinal product contains 1 mg of benzoic acid per 1 g of gel. Benzoic acid can cause local irritation and may increase jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) in newborn babies (up to 4 weeks of age). Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if your child suffers from other diseaseshas allergies ortakes or uses externally other medicines (including those you bought yourself!)!Can Osa Tooth Gel be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?Not applicable. How do you use Osa tooth gel?Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor: Infants up to 10 months:Squeeze a strand of about 1.5-2 cm of the gel onto a finger and gently rub the painful areas of the gums a. Toddlers 11-14 months:Use a 1 inch strand as instructed above. Toddlers from 15 months:Use a strand of approx. 3 cm as described above. If the symptoms persist, the application of Osa tooth gel can be repeated after an hour. Two applications are usually enough for several hours. Up to 6 applications can be made within 24 hours. Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. What side effects can Osa tooth gel have?The following side effects can occur when using Osa tooth gel: Rare (affects 1 to 10 in 10,000 people treated)In rare cases, contact allergies can occur (see also precautionary measures), which also manifest themselves as a rash or hives and may require discontinuation of treatment. Swissmedic-approved patient informationTenderdol, Gel VERFORA SA What is Tenderdol and when is it used? Tenderdol is a disinfecting gel against pain and inflammation in the mouth and on the lips. The effect of Tenderdol is based on the combination of the following active ingredients: choline salicylate has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, cetalkonium chloride is effective against bacteria and fungi. Levomenol, the active component of chamomile, has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and healing properties. The effect usually sets in after less than 5 minutes and lasts 2-3 hours. The gel is tasty and also suitable for small children. Tenderdol Gel is used for: Irritation, inflammation, injuries and pain in the area of the oral mucosa and lips.Teeth problems in infants and small children on medical prescription.Tenderdol Gel may only be prescribed by a doctor Prescription and only used as a second-line treatment in children and adolescents with fever associated with a viral illness (see «When should caution be used with Tenderdol?»).Pain, pressure sores and inflammation , caused by dentures and adjustment braces.When should Tenderdol not be used?In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the active ingredients and hypersensitivity to salicylate (e.g. Aspirin®) Tenderdol must not be used. This medicine contains 55 mg of alcohol (ethanol) per adult dose, which is 34.5%. It may cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.
