Acute wound gels are hydrogel products designed for treating minor burns and acute wounds such as abrasions and cuts. They provide quick pain relief due to their cooling effect. Typically composed of purified water, glycerol, hydroxyethylcellulose, betaine surfactant, and 0.1% polyaminopropyl biguanide (polihexanide), these gels are applied 1 to 2 times daily, with increased frequency for sunburns. Suitable for use by adults, they should be used by pregnant, breastfeeding women or children only after medical consultation. These products are perfume-free, dye-free, and CE-certified, ensuring compliance with European safety standards.
