What should be considered?If you suffer from hemorrhoids, you should avoid spicy foods and choose a diet that leads to loose stools (preferably light, plant-based diet). You should avoid being overweight or reduce existing overweight, avoid sitting for too long and, to reduce the risk of inflammation and infection, pay attention to careful anal hygiene. This allows you to support the effect of Sulgan-N ointment and suppositories. When must Sulgan-N not be used?Sulgan-N must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients (see below: What side effects can Sulgan-N have ?). When is caution required when using Sulgan-N?If used as directed, no special precautions need to be followed. Can Sulgan-N be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. How do you use Sulgan-N?Before each treatment and after each bowel movement, wash the anal area carefully with lukewarm water and possibly mild soap and a soft cloth or with Sulgan -Clean the N-medicinal wipes carefully. Ordinary soaps cause irritation that delays the healing process. Adults:Sulgan-N ointment: Apply a strand of ointment 1 to 2 cm long to the affected areas two to three times a day. In the case of internal hemorrhoids, screw the enclosed cannula onto the tube. Insert the cannula as far as possible into the anus and slowly withdraw the cannula while gently squeezing the tube. Sulgan-N suppositories: Carefully insert 1 suppository into the anus in the evening in bed. Bedridden patients can insert one suppository two to three times a day. Sulgan-N medical wipes: Clean the anal area carefully and thoroughly if necessary. If the symptoms have not disappeared after 1-2 weeks of treatment or have decreased significantly or have even worsened, e.g. if bleeding occurs on or from the anus, you must consult a doctor. The doctor will decide on further treatment. Repeated treatments may only be carried out after a medically confirmed diagnosis and should not last longer than 2 weeks. What side effects can Sulgan-N have?The following side effects can occur when using Sulgan-N: An occasional burning sensation when using Sulgan-N medical wipes is due to the effect of the active ingredients on an existing skin defect and can be considered a normal reaction. With continued treatment, this side effect will disappear. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions can occur, which are noticeable, for example, through itching, burning and/or a skin rash in the area of ​​the anus.
