What should be considered?Large, heavily soiled and deep wounds as well as bite and puncture wounds require medical treatment (danger of tetanus). If local deterioration occurs or if healing does not take place, a doctor, pharmacist or druggist should be consulted. If the general condition deteriorates (e.g. fever) or if the wound suddenly swells, a doctor must be consulted immediately. If the boil is larger than about 0.5 cm in diameter (comparable to the size of a pea) or if it is on the face, a doctor should be consulted. In the case of diabetes (diabetes mellitus), the preparation may only be used under medical supervision.
