Beskrivelse
Tanno-Hermal Lotio is a medicinal product that has a drying effect on weeping, infected skin diseases, primarily due to the physico-chemical, astringent properties of the synthetic tanning agent it contains. The contained synthetic tanning agent and the solids zinc oxide and talc bind wound exudate and form a protective film over the pathologically altered skin areas. By drying out inflamed, weeping skin areas and the associated scab formation, bacteria and fungi are deprived of the breeding ground and further spread of the skin infection is counteracted. A side effect of the dehydration is the noticeable reduction in itching and irritation due to the protective film on the affected areas of the skin. Tanno-Hermal Lotio protects the irritated skin in this way so that it can regenerate itself undisturbed. Use Tanno-Hermal Lotio to dry out wound secretions caused by inflamed, weeping and itchy superficial skin diseases. Tanno-Hermal Lotio is particularly suitable for use in skin folds (armpits, genital-anal area, under the breasts, between the thighs, fingers and toes), to help with diaper rash and for the local treatment of itchy or weeping skin rashes. Tanno-Hermal Lotio can also be used for increased sweating (hyperhidrosis). Talcum and zinc oxide in Tanno-Hermal Lotio particularly support the drying out of fluid-filled skin blisters, e.g. in the case of chickenpox, cold sores (herpes labialis). Itching and weeping are thus secondary reduced.

Slight skin irritations such as burning and very rarely itching can occur occasionally. Hypersensitivity reactions to the active ingredients in Tanno-Hermal Lotio have so far only been described in isolated cases. Due to the methyl (4-hydroxybenzoate) content, hives (urticaria) can occur when using Tanno-Hermal Lotio. Delayed reactions such as hypersensitivity reactions (contact dermatitis) are also possible. Immediate reactions with hives (urticaria) and bronchial spasm (bronchospasm) are rare. If you notice any side effects that are not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. If any of the above possible side effects occur, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
