The sulfur oil bath contains the sulfur compound mesulfen and has, in addition to a moisturizing effect, an anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effect. The bath additive is recommended as a supporting measure for rheumatic diseases of the muscles. Sulfur baths have been used for centuries for rheumatic complaints and skin irritation.
