Description

What is Keppur and when is it used?

Keppur is a preparation in ointment and gel form for the treatment of blunt (bloodless) sports and accidental injuries and for the supportive treatment of venous leg disorders.

Keppur Gel contains a combination of heparin sodium and comfrey tincture. The ointment also contains extracts of calendula and St. John's wort. The heparin contained in the concentration of 500 IU/g counteracts blood clotting and is characterized by an anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and absorption-promoting effect. The extract of comfrey (Symphytum off. TM) also has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and decongestant effect and thus supplements heparin sodium.

Keppur can therefore be used:

  • for pain and inflammation of the joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons such as muscle tension, sore muscles, stiff neck, back pain and lumbago;
  • for painful, blunt injuries such as sprains, contusions, bruises, strains, bruises and swelling;
  • as a supportive measure for rheumatism and arthrosis.

On medical prescription also:

  • for venous leg disorders, superficial phlebitis and for the after-treatment of sclerotherapy.
