Klosterfrau Melissengeist is a herbal medicine with essential oils of lemon balm and 12 other proven medicinal herbs, which are traditionally said to have properties that relieve indigestion, pain and sore muscles. Klosterfrau Melissengeist is used for the following complaints:

For oral use: for non-specific digestive problems (flatulence, feeling of fullness); for nervousness and difficulty falling asleep.

For rubbing in: for sore muscles (for massage), headaches due to nervous tension, travel problems.

What is Klosterfrau Melissengeist and when is it used?

Klosterfrau Melissengeist is a herbal medicine with essential oils of lemon balm and 12 other proven medicinal herbs, which are traditionally used for digestive problems, Pain and muscle soreness relieving properties are attributed. Klosterfrau Melissengeist is used for the following complaints:

For oral use: for non-specific digestive problems (flatulence, feeling of fullness); for nervousness and difficulty falling asleep.

For rubbing in: for sore muscles (for massage), headaches due to nervous tension, travel problems.

What should be considered?

Stomach problems that manifest themselves as pain or pressure pain in a specific area or are associated with a general feeling of illness require medical advice.

Remember that certain stimulants such as coffee, alcohol, nicotine and certain medicines such as painkillers and rheumatism drugs can cause stomach problems.

When should Klosterfrau Melissengeist not be used or only with caution?

Klosterfrau Melissengeist should not be taken

-if you have known severe diseases of the digestive organs;

-if you have a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients;

-from liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, brain damage, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Klosterfrau Melissengeist contains 66% alcohol by volume. If the recommended dosage is observed, up to 1.6 g of alcohol (if undiluted) is consumed for each 3 ml intake. Caution is advised.

The undiluted solution should not be taken, it is only suitable for external use, for rubbing in.

The effect of other medicines may be increased or decreased. The ability to react can be impaired in traffic and when operating machines.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself!) or using them externally!

Can Klosterfrau Melissengeist be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Klosterfrau Melissengeist must not be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding because of the alcohol content.

But nothing stands in the way of external use.

How do you use Klosterfrau Melissengeist?

Adults:

For oral use: 3 times a day 1-2 measuring pipette fillings (equivalent to 3-6 ml) or 35-70 drops 3 times a day, dilute at least twice the amount with water or take on sugar .

For gargling: Dilute 1-2 measuring pipettes or 35-70 drops 3 times a day with water to at least double the amount and gargle.

Children and young people under the age of 18 should not ingest or gargle with Klosterfrau Melissengeist.

For rubbing in: use undiluted or diluted with at least twice the amount with water.

In the case of sore muscles, rub the affected areas well several times a day and possibly keep them warm.

If you have a headache, dab your temples (caution: do not get in your eyes!).

Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Klosterfrau Melissengeist have?

The following side effects can occur when taking Klosterfrau Melissengeist:

Occasionally mild stomach upset (such as belching) or skin reactions (itching, burning). In this case, the further use of the preparation should be refrained from.

If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

Klosterfrau Melissengeist must be kept out of the reach of children!

Store at room temperature (15-25°C).

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.

What does Klosterfrau Melissengeist contain?

100 g Klosterfrau Melissengeist contain:

Active ingredient: steam distillate of a herbal mixture of: lemon balm leaves, elecampane root, gentian root, bitter orange peel, angelica root, ginger root, cloves, galangal root, cinnamon bark, cinnamon blossoms, nutmeg, black pepper and cardamoms, equivalent to 73 mg essential oil.

This preparation also contains excipients and 66% alcohol by volume. 100 g Klosterfrau Melissengeist correspond to 112 ml.
