Description

What Drossadin Spray Solution  is and what it is used for?

Drossadin Spray Solution is a mouth and throat antiseptic and works against bacteria and fungi that can cause infections in the mouth and throat. Drossadin has haemostatic, pain-relieving and healing-promoting properties and is also compatible with mucous membranes.

The active ingredient hexetidine in Drossadin Spray Solution adheres strongly to the surface of the mucous membrane, so that in many cases an antibacterial effect can still be demonstrated even after 10 - 12 hours.

Drossadin is used for acute inflammatory diseases in the mouth and throat and for oral hygiene in:

•Inflammation of the tonsils

•as additional medication for angina

•Inflammation of the larynx and pharyngeal mucosa

•before and after the surgical removal of the tonsils

• in case of inflammation of the oral mucosa

• canker sores

• for inflammation of the tongue and gums

• bleeding gums

• Inflammation of the dental alveoli

•Thrush

• bad breath

•Injuries in the mouth and throat

When should Drossadin Spray Solution not be used?

If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

When is caution required when using Drossadin Spray Solution?

Drossadin 0.1% or 0.2% solution and 0.2% spray should not be swallowed and contain 4.8% by volume ethanol (alcohol). This means that 568 mg (Drossadin 0.1% and 0.2%, solution) or 40 mg (Drossadin 0.2%, spray) ethanol (alcohol) are contained per application. It can cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.

When used as intended, no special precautionary measures need to be observed.

If the fever is higher or if there is no improvement within a week, a doctor should be consulted.

Longer use of more than two weeks should only be done after consultation with the doctor.

Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you:

• suffer from other diseases,

•have allergies or

• take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally!

Can Drossadin Spray Solution be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as intended. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Drossadin Spray Solution?

Drossadin 0.1% and 0.2%, solution:

Adults over 18 years:

Drossadin Solution is used undiluted and should be used twice a day (morning and evening) after meals. The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded without a doctor's prescription. In diseases of the oral cavity, rinse with 15 ml Drossadin for half a minute, in the case of inflammation in the throat, gargle for just as long and then spit out the solution.

Measure out the appropriate dose using the graduated measuring cup provided. After use and before use by another person, rinse the measuring cup with water and dry it.

For local treatment in the mouth and throat, Drossadin should be applied to the diseased areas with swabs.

The 0.2% concentration of Drossadin Solution is indicated for more severe cases. It is used like the 0.1% solution unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor.
