This medicinal product contains 23.22 mg alcohol (ethanol) per 0.125 ml spray equivalent to 185.75 mg/ml (18.58% w/v). The amount in 3 sprays of this medicine is equivalent to less than 2ml beer or 1ml wine.

The small amount of alcohol in this medicine has no noticeable effects.

Can Similasan mouth and throat infections be taken/used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Similasan mouth and throat infections?

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor:

Children from 6 years, teenagers and adults:

2 - 3 pumps per application (equivalent to 0.25-0.375 ml).

Acute complaints:

Frequently (up to every quarter of an hour). If there is a clear improvement, reduce the frequency of administration at your own discretion.

For healing: 2 - 3 times a day until you are completely free of symptoms.
