What Isola Capsicum N is and what it is used for?

Isola® Capsicum N is a patch used for the local treatment of pain such as back pain, neck tension, and muscle and nerve pain. It has a supportive effect on rheumatic complaints. Other areas of application are: degenerative joint disease, condition after traumatic injuries to tendons, ligaments, muscles, joints, e.g. after sprains, bruises, strains.

Isola® Capsicum N contains cayenne pepper extract with the active ingredient capsaicin. Capsaicin has analgesic properties. It also stimulates blood circulation in the area of ​​application, which creates a pleasant warming effect, which supports the healing process.

What should be considered?

The treatment should be discontinued if the heat is too strong.

When should Isola Capsicum N not be taken/used or only with caution?

The plaster should not be used on skin diseases, on open wounds and if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. The plaster should not be used in the case of acute inflammation. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

• suffer from other diseases

• have allergies or

• Take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally!

The use and safety of Isola Capsicum N in children under the age of 12 has not yet been tested.

Can Isola Capsicum N be taken/used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Isola® Capsicum N only be used with a doctor's prescription.

How do you use Isola Capsicum N?

Adults and adolescents over 12 years

The patch is applied to the unbroken skin directly over the area of ​​pain. Remove the backing paper and stick the patch on clean and dry skin. The patch can be worn for up to 24 hours. After a one-day break, the treatment can be repeated for up to a maximum of 3 weeks.

Please follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

What side effects can Isola Capsicum N have?

The following side effects can occur when using Isola® Capsicum N: Itching, skin rash or strong Burn. If any of the side effects occur, the patch should be discontinued. If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

Isola® Capsicum N should be stored at room temperature (15-25 °C), protected from the sun and moisture and kept out of the reach of children . The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked “EXP” on the container. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.

What does Isola Capsicum N contain?

1 patch (2.7g) contains 3.2% m/m ethanolic 80% (v/ v) Cayenne pepper liquid extract (4-7:1), equivalent to 0.07% w/w capsaicinoids. This preparation also contains auxiliary substances (almond oil, rosemary oil and lavender oil, etc.).
