What is Otipax and when is it used?

Otipax is an ear instillation solution to relieve pain and inflammation in the ear.

Otipax is indicated for ear pain of various origins, such as:

Inflammation of the external auditory canal or eardrum (e.g. with a cold or flu), as a complementary medicine in otitis media with closed tympanic membrane, barotrauma (injury injuries due to abrupt changes in air pressure when diving or during air travel).

When must Otipax not be used?

Otipax must not be used if the eardrum is perforated and if you are allergic to one of the ingredients, especially lidocaine.

When should you be careful when using Otipax?

Otipax should not be used for longer than 2 days without a doctor's prescription.

In the case of purulent or bloody discharge from the ear and if dizziness occurs at the same time, a doctor should be consulted.

Contact your doctor as well if the pain does not improve by three days at the latest after starting treatment with Otipax.

Ear pain in children should always be clarified by a doctor.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist rogistin if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally.

Can Otipax be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

During pregnancy, Otipax should only be used if prescribed by a doctor.

How do you use Otipax?

Adults and children from 1 year: 4 drops 2-3 times a day drip into the painful ear.

Children under 2 years of age only with a doctor's prescription.

Ear pain in children should always be checked out by a doctor.
