Description

What is Carmol Sportgel and when is it used?

Carmol Sportgel contains essential oils from 11 medicinal plants and other herbal and synthetic active ingredients. These complement each other in their properties. The absorption of certain active ingredients through the skin promotes blood circulation in the tissue and helps to relieve muscle cramps. Carmol Sportgel is well tolerated by the skin, absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no residue.

Carmol Sportgel can therefore be used externally to treat muscle and joint pain. For painful, blunt injuries such as

• strains,

• contusions,

• sprains,

• bruises,

• muscle tears,

• joint pain

for pain and inflammation of the joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons such as

• sore muscles,

• neck bend,

• Lumbar pain

and as a supportive measure in

• Rheumatism,

• Arthritis,

• Arthrosis and gout.

When must Carmol Sportgel not be used?

Carmol Sportgel must not be used on infants and small children.

Do not use if you are known to be sensitive to one of the ingredients (according to composition).

Do not use if you are hypersensitive to other pain and anti-inflammatory substances (especially salicylic acid compounds).

Do not use if you have a tendency to allergies.

Do not use for compresses, fixations and bandages.

Do not apply to open and bleeding wounds.

Do not apply to mucous membranes.

Do not use if you are already taking anticoagulant therapy, as bleeding can also occur when applied to the skin.

Not over a long period of time if you have renal insufficiency or apply to large areas, unless the doctor allows it.

When is caution required when using Carmol Sportgel?

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap after rubbing in Carmol Sportgel.

Carmol Sportgel should never be rubbed in or massaged in firmly!

Do not cover treated parts of the body with bandages.

Avoid eye contact with Carmol Sportgel at all costs.

Do not expose yourself to the sun during the treatment.

If your skin becomes irritated after using Carmol Sportgel, you should rinse the skin with a fatty liquid, e.g. milk, and refrain from further use.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

• suffer from other diseases,

• have allergies or

• take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally.

Can Carmol Sportgel be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Pregnancy

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child if used as intended. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. Therefore, Carmol Sportgel should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary.

Breastfeeding

It is not known whether the active ingredients contained in Carmol Sportgel are excreted in breast milk. Carmol Sportgel is contraindicated for infants. Therefore, Carmol Sportgel should not be used while breastfeeding.

How do you use Carmol Sportgel?

Adults

Unless otherwise prescribed, rub a sufficient amount of Carmol Sportgel into painful parts of the body up to 5 times a dayn or massage. Wash your hands thoroughly after rubbing in Carmol Sportgel.

The use and safety of Carmol Sportgel in children and adolescents has not yet been tested.

Observe the dosage specified in the package insert or prescribed by the doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Carmol Sportgel have?

The following side effects can occur when using Carmol Sportgel:

occasional skin irritation (redness, itching). In this case, stop the treatment and consult a doctor if necessary.

If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

What else needs to be taken into account?

The medicine may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.

Keep the tube tightly closed.

Store at room temperature (15-25 °C) and out of the reach of children.

What does Carmol Sportgel contain?

100 g of gel contain methyl salicylate 0.90 g, levomenthol 1.69 g, racemic camphor 0.56 g, essential oils: anise oil 0.05 g, clove oil 0.04 g, lavender oil 0.23 g, nutmeg oil 0.07 g, citronella oil 0 .09 g, sage oil 0.08 g, thyme oil 0.11 g, eucalyptus oil 0.56 g, turpentine oil 0.45 g, pine needle oil 1.01 g, rosemary oil 0.23 g. This preparation also contains auxiliary substances.

This preparation contains the auxiliary substances ethanol, water, glycerol, carbomer, trometamol, hydroxypropylguar, carbomer copolymer type B.
