What is PERSKINDOL Dolo and when is it used?

PERSKINDOL Dolo is a locally effective medicine for external use. It contains analgesic and anti-inflammatory components of plant origin. Its active ingredients quickly penetrate the skin and act directly on the underlying tissue and joint areas. Because of these properties, PERSKINDOL Dolo is suitable for use or supportive treatment with:

• Inflammatory rheumatic diseases of the joints and spine (arthritis).
• Degenerative rheumatic diseases of the joints (arthrosis).
• Pain and inflammation of the joints, muscles, tendons , tendon sheaths and ligaments.
• Back pain, back pain, lumbago and stiff neck.
• Dull sports injuries and accidents such as bruises, sprains, strains and muscle hardening.

When must PERSKINDOL Dolo not be used?

Do not apply to mucous membranes or to open, bleeding wounds! Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to other analgesic and anti-inflammatory substances (especially salicylic acid compounds, salicin). If you are prone to hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, you should not use PERSKINDOL Dolo (see composition).

PERSKINDOL Dolo must not be used on children under the age of 4 or on patients with bronchial asthma.

When is caution required when using PERSKINDOL Dolo?

Patients with renal insufficiency should not use the preparation over a large area or over a long period of time.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from illnesses, have allergies or use other medicines, including those you bought yourself.

Can PERSKINDOL Dolo be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

PERSKINDOL Dolo Spray/Gel must not be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, unless for a short period of time, not extensively and only on medical prescription.

How do you use PERSKINDOL Dolo?

Adults:

Gel: Unless otherwise prescribed: As needed up to five Apply a thin layer to the painful area once a day and massage in briefly without pressure.

Spray: Spray the affected painful parts of the body with the spray. Do not damage the can. Protect against heat. Do not spray on open flames or glowing objects.

After use, hands should be washed. Do not use with a bandage and do not cover the affected area.

Do not use two different topical preparations on the same area at the same time.

The use and safety of PERSKINDOL Dolo Spray/Gel in children and adolescents has not yet been tested.

Stick to the dosage provided in the package insert or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think that PERSKINDOL Dolo is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can PERSKINDOL Dolo have?

The following side effects can occur when using PERSKINDOL Dolo:

Slight itching, redness or burning may occasionally occur.

In the event of rare eczematous skin changes or very rare pronounced hypersensitivity reactions, the treatment should be discontinued and the doctor contacted if necessary.

If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

Keep at room temperature (15-25 °C) and out of the reach of children.

Do not use near the eyes!

PERSKINDOL Dolo may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.

What does PERSKINDOL Dolo contain?

1 g gel or 1 g spray contains 129 mg wintergreen oil (methyl salicylate), 95 mg pine needle oil, aromatics and other additives.

Tubes of 50 ml, 100 ml and 200 ml.
