When is Stodal Syrup used?

According to the homeopathic drug picture, Stodal Syrup can be used for coughs.

What you need to know about this?

If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist if Stodal Syrup may be taken at the same time.

Coughs in children under the age of 2 should be checked out by a doctor. Therefore, Stodal Syrup should not be used in children under 2 years of age without a medical examination.

If the cough lasts longer than 7 days, a doctor or pharmacist must be consulted.

Diabetics should note that a 10g serving of Stodal Syrup contains approximately 6g of sucrose (sugar).

When must Stodal Syrup not be used or only with caution?

Stodal Syrup must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients (especially preservative E210) and breathing difficulties (e.g. attacks of bronchitic asthma).

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself!) or using them externally.

Can Stodal Syrup be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out.

As a precaution, you should avoid medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Stodal Syrup?

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:

Adults: 1 dose of 15 ml 3 to 5 times a day.

Children from 2 years of age: 1 dose of 5 ml 3 to 5 times a day.

Follow the dosage provided on the package insert or as prescribed by your doctor. If the desired improvement does not occur during the treatment of a small child/child, a doctor should be consulted with him or her. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Stodal Syrup have?

When taking homeopathic medicines, the symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation). If the worsening persists, stop taking Stodal Syrup and tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. So far, no side effects have been observed for Stodal Syrup when used as directed.

If you nevertheless observe side effects, inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «Exp» on the container.

Like any medicine, keep Stodal Syrup out of the reach of children.

Store at room temperature (15-25°C).

Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information. These people have the detailed information for specialists.
