What is Rhinogen and when is it used?

Rhinogen contains the active ingredient sodium hyaluronate, a natural moisturizing substance. Rhinogen is a nasal cream that moisturizes the dry nasal mucosa and is used for nasal dryness. If prescribed by a doctor, Rhinogen can also be used to promote healing of the nasal mucosa after surgery.

When should Rhinogen not be used?

Rhinogen must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the cream (see «What does Rhinogen contain?»).

When is caution required when using Rhinogen? ?

If used as directed, no special safety measures need to be followed.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from another illness, Have allergies or take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally.

Can Rhinogen be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

How do you use Rhinogen?

Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, put a small amount of cream in both nostrils 3-4 times a day and gently massage them nostrils. Maximum duration of treatment: 2-4 weeks.

Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

The use and safety of Rhinogen nasal cream in children and adults Adolescents have not yet been tested.

What side effects can Rhinogen have?

Slight itching of the nasal mucosa can occasionally occur. In very rare cases, especially with long-term use, sodium hyaluronate or possibly one of the excipients contained in Rhinogen can trigger allergic reactions. In this case, it is recommended to stop the treatment and inform the doctor.
