Description

Bepanthen MED Cream contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol, which is incorporated into an easily absorbed, slightly greasy emulsion.

The active ingredient dexpanthenol is converted into the vitamin pantothenic acid in the skin and supports the structure and regeneration of the skin from the inside out. Due to its high moisture content, the cream produces a soothing cooling effect.

  • Bepanthen MED cream is used to treat overstressed and irritated but uninjured skin: for redness and sunburn; at pressure points; for minor burns; for rough skin (e.g. hands, elbows, feet).
  • for minor injuries and minor abrasions.
  • in infant care to treat diaper inflammation, soreness, reddened skin.
  • < li>for breast care during breastfeeding and for the treatment of sore nipples.

What is Bepanthen MED Creme and when is it used?

When should Bepanthen MED Creme not be used?

If you are on If one or more of the ingredients in Bepanthen Cream are hypersensitive, you must not use the preparation (see «What does Bepanthen MED Cream contain?»).

When is caution required when taking/using Bepanthen MED Cream?

Cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol and wool wax can cause localized skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).

This medicinal product contains 15 mg propylene glycol per g. Propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.

Do not use this medicine in babies under 4 weeks of age with open wounds or extensive skin injuries or damage (such as burns) without consulting your doctor or pharmacist

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself!) or using them externally!

Can Bepanthen MED cream be taken/used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Bepanthen MED cream can be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

How do you use Bepanthen MED Creme?

For sore skin: Apply Bepanthen MED Creme once or several times a day as needed.

For baby care: Spread Bepanthen MED cream over the baby's buttocks and genitals after each drying session after you have thoroughly cleaned these parts of the body beforehand.

When breastfeeding: Apply Bepanthen MED cream to the nipples after each latch. Before the next time you latch on to the child, carefully and completely remove the cream from the nipples.

Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Bepanthen MED cream have?

The following side effects can occur when using Bepanthen MED cream:

In connection with the use of Bepanthen MED cream, side effects have only rarely been observed. Allergic reactions can occur very rarely. If you notice any unusual skin reactions, inform your doctor or pharmacist.

What else needs to be considered?

Always keep the tube tightly closed, at room temperature (15 - 25oC) and out of the reach of children.
