WHAT IS OSSOPAN 800 AND WHEN WILL IT BE APPLIED?

Ossopan 800 contains organic and mineral substances in the same composition as in bone tissue. Ossopan 800 has a regulating effect on bone metabolism, promotes the development and mineralization of the skeleton, slows down bone loss and relieves the associated pain.

Ossopan 800 is used to treat many forms of osteoporosis (bone loss) and to prevent osteoporosis, e.g. in women with an increased risk of osteoporosis.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Ossopan 800 is taken to balance the mineral balance and to alleviate pregnancy symptoms.

In the case of broken bones, the healing process is supported.

WHAT SHOULD BE OBSERVED?

Since Ossopan 800 only contains traces of table salt, the preparation can also be taken long-term by patients with high blood pressure without hesitation.

If you suffer from osteoporosis:
The bone is one of the organs in which metabolic changes take effect very slowly. Degradation often takes years before the consequences (broken bones, changes in the spine) become noticeable. The therapeutic efforts aim to make the bones more stable again. This takes time. The treatment will therefore drag on for years.

In addition to taking your medication regularly, you can help by taking appropriate measures. This includes a balanced diet of dairy products and green leafy vegetables, which provide the body with extra calcium and vitamin D. Alcohol and nicotine can promote the progression of the disease. Therefore, avoid excessive consumption of them. Exercise not only strengthens your muscles, but also stimulates new bone formation.

If you prevent osteoporosis:
The risk of developing osteoporosis is much higher in women than in men. The critical period of life is the time after the menstrual period has stopped during menopause.

Other so-called risk factors are: inherited tendency to osteoporosis, inactive or surgically removed ovaries, low-calcium diet, slender physique, light-skinned type, heavy smoking, increased alcohol consumption and little exercise.

If several of these risk factors apply, the probability of developing osteoporosis is increased. Unfortunately, it is still not possible to determine with certainty whether osteoporosis is developing.

Patients (including men) under cortisone treatment or with long-term disrupted food intake are particularly at risk of osteoporosis.

WHEN SHOULD NOT OSSOPAN 800 BE USED?

Ossopan 800 should not be used if there is a pathologically increased calcium level in the blood, very high calcium levels in the urine or hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients .

If you have kidney stones or large amounts of calcium deposits in certain tissues or organs (acute nephrolithiasis).

In children under the age of 6 (due to unsuitable dosage form, swallowing problems).

WHEN SHOULD BE CAUTION WHEN TAKING / USING OSSOPAN 800?

Contact your doctor or pharmacist before using Ossopan.

  • If you are being treated concomitantly with vitamin D
  • In the case of long-term treatment and/or if you suffer from kidney disease (renal insufficiency)
< p>Your doctor will regularly check the amount of calcium in your blood and urine.

If you have a history of kidney stones, you should follow the precautionary dietary measures recommended by your doctor, adjust your dietary calcium intake and avoid taking supplements containing vitamin D. Consult your doctor or nurse.
