What are Carmol drops and when are they used?

Carmol drops are a medicine containing essential oils from 10 selected medicinal plants, levomenthol and lemon balm spirit. Carmol drops owe their effectiveness to the essential oils of cassia cinnamon, citronella (Indian lemon balm), lavender, nutmeg, cloves, Spanish sage, spike lavender, star anise, thyme and lemon as well as levomenthol and lemon balm spirit.

Carmol drops can be used as follows.

To be taken for:

• Stomach complaints (feeling of fullness, belching, flatulence, un feeling well)

• Nervousness

• Sleep disorders, difficulty falling asleep

For rubbing in:

• Joint and muscle pain

• Rheumatism, lumbago

• Headaches

For gargling in:

• Diseases of the airways (cough, catarrh)

What should be considered?

Stomach problems, that express themselves as pain or pressure pain or are associated with a general feeling of illness require medical advice.

Please note that certain stimulants such as coffee, alcohol, nicotine and certain medicines such as painkillers and rheumatism drugs can cause stomach problems.

When should Carmol drops not be taken/used?

Carmol drops should not be used in the case of serious diseases of the internal organs and in children up to the age of 12.

When is caution required when taking/using Carmol drops?

This medicinal product contains 64% alcohol by volume. If the recommended dosage is observed, up to 0.37 g of alcohol is consumed with each intake. There is a health risk for people with liver disease, alcoholism, epilepsy, brain damage, pregnant and breastfeeding women, among others. The effect of other medicines can be impaired or increased.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

• suffer from other diseases,

• have allergies or

• take other medicines (including those you bought yourself) or use them externally!

Can Carmol drops be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Carmol drops contain 64% alcohol by volume. Alcohol can harm the unborn child. Do not take Carmol Drops if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or if you are breastfeeding.

How do you use Carmol Drops?

Adults

Ingestion: Take 10-20 drops on a piece of sugar, in tea or in hot water, up to 5 times a day, preferably between meals.

For rubbing in: Rub Carmol Drops lightly into the painful area several times a day. Wash your hands thoroughly after rubbing them in with Carmol drops. It is essential to avoid contact of Carmol drops with the eyes.

For gargling: add 10-20 drops to warm water and gargle as needed.

What side effects can Carmol drops have?

No side effects have been observed for Carmol drops when used as intended. However, if you observe side effects, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (15-25°C). The medicinal product may onlyup to the one marked designated date.

Any eye contact or excessive use in the facial area can cause unpleasant burning sensations. If necessary, flush eyes with plenty of water; Symptoms disappear after a short time.

What does Carmol drops contain?

1 ml solution contains: essential oils 7.7 mg (cassia oil 1.6 mg, citronella oil 0.2 mg, lemon oil 0.1 mg, lavender oil 1.6 mg, nutmeg oil 0.6 mg, clove oil 1.6 mg, Spanish sage oil 0.3 mg, spike oil 1.6 mg, starani söl 0.1 mg, thyme oil 0.02 mg), lemon balm spirit 1.54 mg, levomenthol 15.5 mg. This preparation also contains auxiliary substances.

Alcohol content: 64% by volume. 1 ml = 27 drops.
