What is Lipactin and when is it used?

Lipactin is suitable for the treatment of cold sores, especially on the lips (labial herpes) and adjacent skin areas. It relieves the pain and accelerates the healing of the blisters.

When must Lipactin not be used?

Lipactin must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the Active substances or excipients.

Do not use in known heparin-induced/associated thrombocytopenia.

When is caution required when using Lipactin?

If used as directed, no special precautions need to be followed.

Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines ( also self-bought) or use externally!

Can Lipactin be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

No systematic scientific studies have been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Lipactin?

Adults and young people from the age of 12

Apply a thin layer of Lipactin to the affected areas of skin 3-6 times a day. Treatment should begin as early as possible, as soon as tingling, tightness and pain are noticed on the lips or adjacent skin areas.

Continue the treatment for a few days after the symptoms have disappeared.

The treatment should be carried out for a maximum of 7 to 10 days. If the disease worsens or the cold sores do not heal, the doctor should be consulted.

Children under the age of 12

Use and safety Lipactin in children under the age of 12 has not yet been tested.

Observe the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

Side effects Have Lipactin?

The following side effects can occur when using Lipactin:

In individual cases, applying Lipactin can cause brief burning sensations. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur on the treated skin area. In these cases, the product should no longer be used and the doctor, pharmacist or druggist should be contacted.

Lipactin may only be used up to the point on the container «EXP».
