Description

What is Rogaine 2% solution and when is it used?

Regaine 2% solution is a topical hair restorer that contains the active ingredient minoxidil.

Rogaine 2% solution is used for the treatment of excessive hereditary hormonal hair loss and the onset of balding (androgenetic alopecia) in adults aged 18 to 65 years. It can prevent further hair loss and promote new hair growth. The mode of action has not been fully clarified.

What should be considered?

Typical for men and women with hereditary hair loss is a thinning of the hair growth or balding above the temples and in the crown region (see figure).

It takes at least 2 - 4 months for the new hair to grow back. Cosmetically satisfactory regrowth of new hair is usually observed after about a year of treatment. However, the onset of action and the degree of thickening of the scalp hair will vary from person to person.

If you do respond to treatment, your new hair is likely to be soft and fluffy (vellus hair) and barely noticeable at first.

As treatment continues, the new hair growth will become thicker and darker until it matches the color and texture of the existing hair on the head.

Advanced cases of balding and balding for more than a decade will rarely or not respond to treatment .
