What is Kendural and when is it used?

Kendural is an iron supplement that also contains vitamin C and is used to treat iron deficiency (iron deficiency anemia).

Iron is needed for the hemoglobin in red blood cells, and a lack of iron can lead to anemia, which can manifest itself, for example, in unusual tiredness, shortness of breath or a decrease in physical capacity.

K endural contains iron in a form that slowly releases the active ingredient in the intestine (retard principle).

The addition of vitamin C increases the absorption of iron.

What should you be aware of?

Before you start taking Kendural, the low levels of iron and blood pigment (haemoglobin) in the blood should be confirmed by the doctor through suitable tests. If the anemia is not caused by an iron deficiency, Kendural is not only ineffective but can lead to iron overload.

Your doctor may want to do regular check-ups to monitor the progress of your treatment and may want to do blood tests. This is perfectly normal and should not concern you. If your symptoms do not improve within 3 weeks, consult your doctor.

When must Kendural not be used?

- have allergies or

- are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself!) or using them externally!

Can Kendural be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Kendural is prescribed for iron deficiency during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

You should definitely consult your doctor. Speak to your pharmacist or pharmacist before you start taking Kendural.

How do you use Kendural?

Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 and weighing more than 40 kg: take one tablet daily, whole and with some liquid, about half an hour before breakfast.

Iron deficiency requires long treatment, and Kendural must therefore often be taken for weeks and months. Success depends on your reliable intake!

What side effects can Kendural have?
