Vitamin B6 is an important component of certain enzymes, which primarily control the protein metabolism.
Like all vitamins, vitamin B6 cannot be produced by the body itself, but must be supplied from the outside, which is generally ensured by a balanced diet. In food, vitamin B6 is particularly abundant in yeast, grains, green vegetables, egg yolk and milk.
The Vitamin B6 Streuli tablets are used to supplement an insufficient intake of vitamins and to prevent and treat vitamin B6 deficiency diseases, such as when there is an increased need due to the intake of Contraceptives (the pill), insufficient intestinal absorption in the case of chronic diarrhea or taking drugs that weaken the effect of vitamin B6 (tuberculosis drugs, penicillamine, phenytoin, phenobarbital). Vitamin B6 deficiency symptoms are inflammation of the skin, inflammation of the tongue and oral mucosa. In severe cases, it can lead to nerve inflammation, anemia, brain cramps and changes in electrical brain waves.
