Carmol drops are a medicine with essential oils from 10 selected medicinal plants, levomenthol and lemon balm spirit. Carmol drops owe their effectiveness to the essential oils of cassia cinnamon, citronella grass (Indian lemon balm), lavender, nutmeg, cloves, Spanish sage, spike lavender, star anise, thyme and lemon as well as levomenthol and lemon balm spirit.

Carmol drops can be used as follows.

To be taken orally at:

  • Stomach complaints (feeling full, belching, flatulence, feeling unwell)
  • Nervousness
  • Sleep disorders, difficulty falling asleep

What are Carmol drops and when are they used?< /h2>

Carmol drops are a medicine with essential oils from 10 selected medicinal plants, levomenthol and lemon balm spirit. Carmol drops owe their effectiveness to the essential oils of cassia cinnamon, citronella grass (Indian lemon balm), lavender, nutmeg, cloves, Spanish sage, spike lavender, star anise, thyme and lemon as well as levomenthol and lemon balm spirit.

Carmol drops can be used as follows.

To be taken orally at:

What should be considered?

Stomach disorders that manifest as Express pain or pressure pain or are associated with a general feeling of illness require medical advice.

Please note that certain stimulants such as coffee, alcohol, nicotine and certain medicines such as painkillers and rheumatism drugs can cause stomach problems.

When should Carmol drops not be taken/used?

Carmol drops should not be used in the case of serious diseases of the internal organs and in children up to 12 years of age.

When is caution required when taking/using Carmol drops?

This medicinal product contains 18.8 mg alcohol (ethanol) per drop, equivalent to 508 mg/ml (64% v/v). The amount in 20 drops of this medicine is equivalent to 10 ml of beer or 4 ml of wine.

It is unlikely that the amount of alcohol in this medicine will affect adults and adolescents, or that there will be any noticeable effects in children. In young children, effects may be possible, e.g. drowsiness.

The amount of alcohol in this medicine may alter the effects of other medicines. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.

If you are dependent on alcohol, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.

It may cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.

Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

  • suffer from other diseases,
  • have allergies or
  • take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally

Can Carmol drops be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Carmol drops contain 64% alcohol by volume. Alcohol can harm the unborn child. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding, you must not take Carmol drops.

How do you use Carmol drops?

Adults

Oral: 10-20 drops on a piece of sugar, Take in tea or in hot water, up to 5 times a day, preferably between meals.

For rubbing in: rub Carmol drops lightly into the painful area several times a day. Wash your hands thoroughly after rubbing them in with Carmol drops. It is essential to avoid contact of Carmol drops with the eyes.

For gargling: Add 10-20 drops to warm water and gargle as needed.

The use and safety of Carmol drops in children and adolescents has not yet been tested.

What side effects can Carmol drops have?

Up to now, no side effects have been observed for Carmol drops when used as intended. If you nevertheless observe side effects, inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked on the container with « EXP» can be used.

Store at room temperature (15-25°C).

Presl), 0.2 mg citronella oil (aerial parts of Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt), 0.1 mg lemon oil (fresh peel of Citrus limon (L.) Burman fil.), 1.6 mg lavender oil (flowers of Lavandula angustifolia Mill.), 0.6 mg nutmeg oil (seeds of Myristica fragrans Houtt), 1.6 mg clove oil (dried flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllus (Spreng.) Bullock et S.G. Harrison), 0.3 mg Spanish sage oil (aboveground flowering parts of Salvia lavandulifolia Vahl), 1.6 mg spike oil (flowers of Lavandula latifolia Medik), 0.1 mg star anise oil ( fruits of Illicium verum Hook. f.), 0.02 mg thyme oil (flowering aerial parts of Thymus vulgaris L. and/or Thymus zygis L. )), 1.54 mg lemon balm spirit (dried leaves of Melissa officinalis L., drug-extract ratio 1:5, extractant ethanol 70% V/V), 15.5 mg levomenthol
