Nutrexin Active Eye Capsules is a dietary supplement and contains a valuable mixture of natural substances such as beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin and lycopene. It also contains vitamin A, which is involved in human vision. The predecessor, provitamin A, acts as a natural radical scavenger in the body.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are yellow-orange pigments of plant origin. In humans, high concentrations of these substances have been detected in the eye, in the center of the retina (macula lutea). There, the carotenoids can have a protective function for the so-called macula, the point of sharpest vision, against damage caused by light. The content of these substances in the retina depends on the intake from the diet.
