Gaspan is a herbal medicine and contains a mixture of peppermint oil and caraway oil. Gaspan is used for flatulence, pressure and fullness in the abdominal area with slight cramps. The capsules are coated with an enteric protective film that prevents the peppermint or caraway oil from being released prematurely in the stomach.
Take the capsules until the symptoms improve. Stomach and intestinal problems can be signs of illnesses that require medical evaluation and treatment. Therefore, if symptoms last longer than 1 week or periodically recur, treatment should not be carried out without medical advice.
Gaspan should be used in children under 12 years of age not be applied.
This medicine contains sorbitol. Please only take Gaspan after consulting your doctor if you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars.

The safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been adequately studied. Use during pregnancy and lactation is therefore not recommended.
Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 take 1 capsule whole twice a day with plenty of liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water) and take it for at least 30 minutes of the meal, preferably in the morning and at noon. You can also take the capsules without later taking a meal.
Gaspan should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
The capsules must be swallowed whole, i. not damaged or chewed to avoid premature release of the active ingredient. Premature release of the active ingredient may cause local irritation in the mouth and esophagus.

Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
Stomach-intestinal symptoms such as belching, heartburn, nausea, vomiting or itching in the rectum may occur. In addition, allergic reactions can occur. The frequency of each is not known. If there are signs of an allergic reaction, Gaspan should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
Taking up to 3 capsules as a single dose or up to 8 capsules daily does not usually cause overdose symptoms. After taking larger amounts, the side effects could occur more frequently. In this case, the drug should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted immediately. Under no circumstances should vomiting be induced in the event of an overdose, and no milk or alcohol should be consumed.
