DIBASE 25'000 oral solution contains cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). Vitamin D3 is found in some foods and is also made by the body when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D3 helps the kidneys and intestines to absorb calcium and is needed for building bones.

DIBASE 25'000 should not be taken if you:
All D vitamins are harmful in high doses, so the monthly dosage is not allowed be crossed, be exceeded, be passed. When using DIBASE 25'000, make sure that no other medicines containing vitamin D or foods fortified with vitamin D (e.g. milk or fats fortified with vitamin D) are taken.
Contact your doctor or your doctor if you take DIBASE 25'000 for several months. Your doctor will check your blood and urine values. This check is particularly important in elderly patients and during simultaneous treatment with digoxin (against heart disease) and diuretics.
DIBASE 25'000 may only be taken with calcium under medical supervision.
Tell your doctor if you are taking medications containing calcium or cholestyramine and colestipol (cholesterol lowering drugs), phenytoin and barbiturates (for epilepsy), glucocorticoids (for inflammation, allergies), digoxin (for heart disease), orlistat (for obesity) , laxatives or diuretics.
Caution is required if you have a calcium metabolism disorder, kidney disease or heart disease. In these cases, the doctor should be consulted.

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctoror pharmacist if you are not sure.

Shake before use.
You should take DIBASE 25'000 with a main meal if possible.
This medicinal product tastes slightly like olive oil. It can be taken straight from the bottle. To make it easier to take, the solution can also be mixed with a small amount of cold or lukewarm food immediately before taking it. Make sure you take the whole dose. Do not store products or food to which this medicine has been added for later use or to take with a next meal.
If you take more of the medicine than you should, do not take any more of the medicine and contact your doctor. If a doctor is unavailable, go to the emergency room at your nearest hospital and take the medicine container with you.
The most common symptoms of overdose are: tiredness, drowsiness, weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, movement disorders, headache, muscle and joint pain, muscle weakness, severe thirst, high urine output for 24 hours, rash, constipation, diarrhea and dehydration.
If you forget to take a dose of DIBASE 25'000, make up for it as soon as possible. Then take the next dose at the scheduled time. However, if it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and just take the next dose as usual.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Stick to the dose provided in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, although not everyone gets them.
The following side effects are possible:
Als An overdose can lead to an increase in the calcium level in the blood, including weakness, headaches, constipation, diarrhea, nausea.
If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You may store this medicine after the the carton and the bottle according to «Exp.» Do not use the specified expiration date. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not store above 30 °C. Do not freeze or refrigerate.
Keep the bottle in the outer carton in order to protect from light.
Do not take this medicine if the solution is cloudy.
Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer usend.
The active substance is cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).
A single-dose bottle with 2.5 ml solution for Oral contains: 25,000 IU cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), equivalent to 0.625 mg. (1 ml contains 10'000 I.E. corresponding to 0.25 mg.)
Excipients: refined olive oil.
DIBASE 25'000 oral solution is a clear and colorless to greenish-yellow oily solution without visible solid particles and/or deposits.
