What Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets are and what they are used for

Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets contain dry extracts of passion flower herb, valerian root, lemon balm leaf and butterbur root. A calming effect is traditionally attributed to the proven medicinal plants. By standardizing this herbal medicinal product, consistent quality is achieved.

Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets are used for nervous tension, which can manifest itself in restlessness, spasmodic, nervous gastrointestinal complaints and increased irritability, as well as exam anxiety.

What precautions should be taken?

If your symptoms last longer than 1 month, you should consult your doctor.

This preparation is also suitable for diabetics.

When should Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets not be taken or only with caution?

Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets should not be taken if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients (see «What does Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets contain?» ).

Very rare but sometimes serious liver damage has been observed in connection with a preparation containing a certain butterbur extract (CO 2-Extract). However, a liver-damaging effect cannot be ruled out for the alcoholic butterbur extract used in Valverde Relaxation, film tablets. In the case of pre-existing liver damage, it is therefore generally not recommended to take medicines containing butterbur. Unusual tiredness, weakness or loss of appetite and unintentional weight loss, yellowing of the conjunctivae of the eyes and skin, dark urine or discolored stools may indicate liver damage. If such symptoms occur, Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets must be discontinued immediately and a doctor consulted immediately.

The use of this medicine is not recommended in children under 6 years of age.

Can Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as intended. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets?

Adults and children over 6 years : 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day, after meals, with some liquid.

The use and safety of Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets in children under 6 years of age has not been tested.

Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist .

What are the possible side effects of Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets?

The following side effects may occur when taking Valverde Relaxation, film-coated tablets:

What does Valverde Relax, film-coated tablets contain?

1 film-coated tablet contains: 90 mg dry extract of butterbur roots (DEV 7-14:1, extracting agent: ethanol 90% m/m), 90 mg dry extract of passion flower herb (DEV 3-6:1, extracting agent: ethanol 50% m/m), 90 mg dry extract of valerian roots (DEV 4-6:1, extracting agent: methanol 45% m/m) and 60 mg dry extract of lemon balm leaves (DEV 2.5-3.9:1, extracting agent: ethanol 20% m/m).

This preparation also contains the dyes quinoline yellow (E 104) and indigotine blue (E 132) as well as other additives.
