When is SIMILASAN Inflamed Eyes used?
According to the homeopathic drug picture, SIMILASAN Inflamed Eyes can be used in mild forms of:
− Inflamed, red eyes
− Inflammation of the eyelids
− Burning eyes
− Sensitivity to light
Medical treatment is indicated for severe forms of this disease.
What should be considered?
If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether SIMILASAN inflamed eyes can be used at the same time.
Wearing contact lenses is not indicated for eye infections. However, if you are dependent on contact lenses, remove them prior to instillation and wait at least 15 minutes after treatment to reinsert the lenses. It is also recommended to use it after removing the lenses, in the evening before going to bed and in the morning when you wake up, at least 15 minutes before inserting the lenses.
Note that an inflamed eye is more sensitive to lenses.
If there is no improvement after 2 - 3 days, you should consult a doctor. If things get worse or if new symptoms appear, e.g. a decrease in visual acuity or pain, a doctor must be consulted immediately.
When should SIMILASAN inflamed eyes not be used or only with caution?
− Use in infants and children up to 6 years of age only if prescribed by a doctor.
− For infants and small children, the preservative-free monodoses should also be used.
− Bei Lens opacity (cataracts, cataracts) or glaucoma should only be used after a medical diagnosis.
− SIMILASAN inflamed eyes must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to one of the excipients used.
Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking or using other medicines (including those you have bought yourself).
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child if used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use SIMILASAN Inflamed Eyes?
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor:
− One to several times a day 1 - 2 drops per eye.
Application:
− Gum Squeeze part of the spout with two fingers and drip drops into the eye.
− Avoid touching the rubber tip with your fingers and avoid direct contact with the eye.
− Close immediately after use!
The duration of the effect of a drug administration can vary from person to person. In principle, the application of the preparation is repeated when the effect wears off or when the symptoms return. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor.
If the desired improvement does not occur when treating a child, you should see a doctor with them.
If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effectscan SIMILASAN have inflamed eyes?
In individual cases, allergic reactions with itching, burning and reddening of the eyes have been observed for SIMILASAN inflamed eyes.
If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
When taking homeopathic medicines, the existing symptoms can temporarily worsen (first aggravation).
Measures in case of initial worsening of symptoms (initial aggravation):
1. Stop using the preparation until the reaction has subsided.
2. Put 1 drop in one eye. Wait for effect.
3. If the reaction is repeated, the same behavior as described under 1. and 2.
4. If you no longer feel a reaction, follow the recommendations under «How do you use ...».
If the deterioration persists, stop using SIMILASAN for inflamed eyes and inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What else needs to be taken into account?
− Store out of the reach of children.
− The medicinal product may only be stored up to the date on the container with
− The preparation may not be used for more than 3 months after opening the bottle.
− Store at room temperature (15 - 25 °C).
