What is Dexeryl Cream and when is it used?
Dexeryl is a soothing and moisturizing cream that combats dry skin in adults and children and makes it supple.
The active ingredients of Dexeryl Cream are glycerin, petroleum jelly and paraffin oil.
Dexeryl Cream increases the moisture content of the skin due to glycerin and builds the skin's protection due to petroleum jelly and paraffin oil function of the skin again. Dexeryl Cream restores the moisture content and the protective function of the skin and reduces skin irritation, itching and scratching.
Dexeryl Cream is used to treat dry skin with certain dermatoses (skin diseases), for example ichthyosis (dry, scaly skin).
When should Dexeryl Cream not be used?
Dexeryl Cream must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to are the active ingredients or any of the excipients of Dexeryl.
When is caution needed when using Dexeryl Cream?
Dexeryl Cream should not be used on infected wounds or under occlusive dressings.
This medicine contains propyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
Do not take it.

No effects on fertility are expected from Dexeryl cream.
How do you use Dexeryl cream?
Application route:
Skin use, for external use.
Method of application and dosage:
Adults and children: Apply the cream in a thin layer to the areas to be treated on all affected parts of the body twice a day or more often if necessary.
Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Dexeryl Cream have?
Like all medicines, Dexeryl Cream can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
The side effects seen in the treatment of ichthyosis mainly affect the skin.
Disorders of the skin and subcutaneous tissue
Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 users in 1000)
Urticaria (hives), dermatitis, eczema, redness and itching, rash, irritation, pain at the application site
