Description
Itinerol B6 suppositories contain active ingredients that prevent or stop nausea and vomiting. Their effect lasts 12-24 hours. Itinerol B6 is used against nausea and vomiting of various origins, namely: motion sickness, morning sickness (only with a doctor's prescription and when absolutely necessary). In children and infants: ordinary vomiting, nervous and acetonemic vomiting; in children under 6 years: only with a doctor's prescription.

What is Itinerol B6 and when is it used?
Itinerol B6 suppositories contain active ingredients that prevent or stop nausea and vomiting. Their effect lasts 12-24 hours. Itinerol B6 is used against nausea and vomiting of various origins, namely: motion sickness, morning sickness (only with a doctor's prescription and when absolutely necessary). In children and infants: ordinary vomiting, nervous and acetonemic vomiting; in children under 6 years: only with a doctor's prescription.
When should Itinerol B6 not be used?
In the event of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, in particular to meclozine or vitamin B6 (pyridoxine).
When should you be careful when using Itinerol B6?
If you have angle-closure glaucoma (glaucoma) or suffer from prostatic hypertrophy, please tell your doctor doctor before you take Itinerol B6. Meclozin, one of the active ingredients of Itinerol B6, enhances the depressive effects of barbiturates, tranquilizers and alcohol. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) reduces the effect of levodopa (the active ingredient in certain medicines used to treat Parkinson's disease). Motorists and machine workers should take into account that the preparation can occasionally cause a slight tiredness and therefore the ability to react, the ability to use tools or machines and the ability to drive may be impaired. Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (even those you bought yourself!) or using them externally!
Can Itinerol B6 be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
During pregnancy, Itinerol B6 may only be used with a doctor's prescription and if absolutely necessary. If treatment with Itinerol B6 is necessary during breast-feeding, the child should be weaned.
How do you use Itinerol B6?
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor:
Vomiting and nausea of various origins, dose per 24 hours
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1-2 suppositories for adults and adolescents.
Children 6-12 years: 1 suppository for children 6-12 years.
Only with a doctor's prescription:
Infants and children from 3 months to 6 years: 1 suppository for infants and children 3 months - 6 years.
Motion sickness (1 hour before departure), dose per 24 hours
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: 1 suppository for adults and adolescents.
Children 6-12 years: 1 suppository for children 6-12 years.
Only with a doctor's prescription:
Infants and children from 3 months to 6 years: 1 suppository for infants and children 3 months - 6 years.
Pregnancy vomiting:
Only with a prescription from a doctor: in the evening and if necessary in the morning: 1 suppository for adults and adolescents. Do not exceed 2 suppositories per 24 hours.
Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Itinerol B6 have?
The following side effects can occur when using Itinerol B6: Symptoms of tiredness cannot be ruled out, but are usually compensated for by the caffeine. Dry mouth, tachycardia, stomach upset, and, rarely, blurred vision may also occur. Very rare: urticaria. If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What else needs to be considered?
Itinerol B6 should be stored at room temperature (15-25 °C), dry and out of the reach of children. The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked “EXP” on the container. Expired medicines should be returned to the pharmacy or drugstore. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information. What does Itinerol B6 contain?
1 suppository for adults and adolescents contains 50 mg meclozine dihydrochloride, 50 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6 ) and 20 mg of caffeine.
1 suppository for children 6-12 years contains 20 mg meclozine dihydrochloride, 20 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) and 10 mg caffeine as active ingredients.
1 suppository for infants and children 3 months to 6 years contains 10 mg meclozine dihydrochloride and 10 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) as active ingredients.
The suppositories also contain an auxiliary substance.
