Vismed is used for sustained lubrication of the eye in subjectively perceived conditions Feeling of dryness as well as burning and tired eyes.
Properties
Vismed is used for long-term lubrication of the eye when there is a subjective feeling of dryness as well as burning and tired eyes and other minor health problems without illness, caused e.g. through dust, smoke, dry heat, air-conditioned air, wind, cold, prolonged screen work, wearing contact lenses or through ophthalmological examination procedures. Vismed contains hyaluronic acid, a natural polymer that also occurs in structures of the human eye. The special physical characteristics of hyaluronic acid give Vismed its important "viscoelastic" and water-binding properties. It forms a stable layer on the surfaces of the eye, which is only gradually removed by blinking.As Vismed Gel does not contain any preservatives , residues of the solution should no longer be used.
