Cellufluid Eye Drops are eye drops and are used as tear substitutes or film formers on the eye.
Cellufluid Eye Drops is available without a doctor's prescription and is used for the symptomatic treatment of dry eyes (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). Moistening the eyes may be necessary in the event of slight irritation, and also to reduce the foreign body sensation.
Cellufluid Eye Drops can be used on contact lenses.
If you have a known hypersensitivity (allergy) to an ingredient in Cellufluid Eye Drops.
Temporary blurred vision may occur immediately after Cellufluid Eye Drops has been instilled. You should wait until the blurred vision has gone before operating vehicles or machines.
If there is no improvement after 2-3 days of treatment, you should see your doctor.
If the symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear, eg pain, reduced visual acuity, persistent redness or irritation, you should discontinue Cellufluid Eye Drops and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
There is no experience of using Cellufluid Eye Drops during pregnancy and breastfeeding. You should therefore not use Cellufluid Eye Drops without consulting your doctor.
Unless your doctor has prescribed a different dosage for you, 1 drop of Cellufluid Eye Drops is instilled into the affected eye as needed. It is usually sufficient to instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) 4 times a day.
Children and young people:
The use and safety of Cellufluid Eye Drops in children and adolescents have not yet been tested.
Dry eyes are usually treated over a longer period of time. Dry eye is a long-lasting condition. Treatment longer than 6 months requires a medical check-up.
If you use other eye medicines, you should instill them 15 minutes before using Cellufluid Eye Drops.
To avoid possible contamination of Cellufluid Eye Drops or possible eye injury, the dropper tip should not be touched with hands or come into contact with the eye.
Do not use Cellufluid Eye Drops if the packaging shows signs of damage. Also, do not use the medicine if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy.
After each use, the drop container must be closed tightly again.
Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
The following side effects can occur when using Cellufluid Eye Drops :
Burning eyes, eye irritation, eye discomfort, dry eye, blurred vision.
Red eyes, red and/or swollen eyelids, eye pain, watery eyes, sticky eyes, itchy eyes.
The following side effects or medically significant adverse events have been reported since the drug was launched:
Allergic reactions (including swollen eyes), foreign body sensation in the eye.
If you notice side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked “EXP” on the package.
After first opening the dropper, Cellufluid Eye Drops should not be used for more than 4 weeks (taking into account the expiry date). Keep container tightly closed.
Store at room temperature (15-25°C).
Store in the original packaging.
Keep out of reach of children.
After the end of treatment, the medicinal product and the remaining contents should be taken to your point of sale (doctor, pharmacist or druggist) for professional disposal.
