What is Lifo-Scrub and when is it used?
Lifo-Scrub is a liquid soap that is used for disinfecting, hygienic hand washing. Lifo-Scrub is only used for antiseptic washing of the whole body before operations if prescribed by a doctor.
What should be considered?
Dirty hands should not be washed with soap before using Lifo-Scrub, as this may reduce the effectiveness of the drug.
When should Lifo-Scrub not be used?
Lifo-Scrub should not be used if there is a known or suspected hypersensitivity to an ingredient. Avoid eye and ear contact (especially if the eardrum is injured).
When is caution required when using Lifo-Scrub?
Patients who are on azo dyes, acetylsalicylic acid (e.g. Aspirin, Alcacyl) and rheumatism and painkillers (prostaglandin inhibitors ) are hypersensitive should not use Lifo-Scrub. Caution when using in newborns, especially premature babies. Lifo-Scrub can cause skin burns (chemical burns) in newborns. Avoid excess amounts and be careful not to allow the solution to pool in skin folds.
This medicinal product contains a fragrance containing Alpha-Methyl Ionone, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl(2-Hydroxybenzoate), Cinnamaldehyde, 3-Phenylprop-2-en-1-ol, Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Geraniol, 2-Benzylidenoctanal , hydroxycitronellal, D-limonene and linalool which can cause allergic reactions.

Can Lifo-Scrub be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor before using Lifo-Scrub, Speak to a pharmacist or druggist or your doctor.
How do you use Lifo-Scrub?
Disinfectant hygienic hand washing: Wet hands with water and for at least 1 minute with approx. 5 ml Lifo -Wash scrub, rinse thoroughly and dry.
Antiseptic, disinfecting full body wash: If your doctor has prescribed you a disinfecting full body wash before a planned operation, you can do this with Lifo-Scrub at home or on the ward as follows:
Lifo-Scrub is used like a washing lotion. When showering, make sure that Lifo-Scrub is only rinsed off after a contact time of at least 2 minutes.
If possible, wash yourself twice with Lifo-Scrub on the day before the operation: First the face and then the whole body is washed with Lifo-Scrub from top to bottom, with areas such as the nose, armpits, pubic area and navel being cleaned particularly thoroughly should be. After leaving it on for at least 2 minutes, rinse off and repeat the application with Lifo-Scrub, this time starting with the hair. Then rinse thoroughly and dry with a fresh cloth.
Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Lifo-Scrub have?
Lifo-Scrub can trigger hypersensitivity reactions of the skin (skin dryness, redness) and respiratory organs, especially in patients with asthma or nettle fever (chronic hives) or with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and other rheumatism and painkillers. Increased sensitivity to sunlight may occur. Skin burns (chemical burns) in newborns if used improperly (see the section "When is caution required when using Lifo-Scrub?").
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
What else needs to be considered?
Lifo-Scrub may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.
Storage Instructions
Do not store above 30°C. Keep out of the reach of children. The 50 ml tube is for single use only.
