Description

What is Ferro-Gradumet and when is it used?

Ferro-Gradumet is an iron supplement and is used to treat iron deficiency (iron deficiency anemia).

Iron is needed for the hemoglobin in red blood cells, and a lack of iron can lead to anemia, which can manifest itself, for example, in unusual tiredness, shortness of breath or a decrease in physical performance.

Before you start taking Ferro-Gradumet, the low levels of iron and blood pigment (haemoglobin) in the blood should be confirmed by the doctor through suitable tests. If the anemia is not caused by an iron deficiency, Ferro-Gradumet is not only ineffective but can also lead to iron overload.

Your doctor may want to monitor the progress of your treatment through regular check-ups and may also want to do blood tests. This is perfectly normal and should not concern you. If your symptoms do not improve within 3 weeks, consult your doctor.

Note that chronic excessive alcohol consumption can lead to iron overload by increasing iron intake.
